Fergusons and steam at Glanllyn Fields
Bank holiday weather turned up for the Teifi Valley Vintage Show at Glanllyn Fields near Penrhiwpal. The special this year was Ferguson tractors and kit: haymaking in the ring, miniature steam building pressure, a car boot that filled early, and a long grand parade while owners were interviewed over the microphone.
Money from the day was split between the oxygen therapy centre in Cardigan, Cancer Research Wales and Wales Air Ambulance. That is the valley model — a field, a collection tin, three causes everyone in the queue has used or expects to.
It is not on this September’s calendar. It is on next May’s. The page stays up so the show is not only a Facebook album in winter.
